Fraser's work

On Thursday, I went to Fraser's work and it was really good. I cycled to the B.T place, it took us half an hour to get there from Grandma and Papa's.

When I got there we parked the bikes out-side and went in to reception and I got a visitor pass, we went through to a meeting room and I met some B.T managers and discussed what they do for their job.

After that we had a challenge to build a tower made out of straws and a few paper clips, we did that in groups and I was in a boys group, everyone else got their tower standing but we didn't manage to get our one standing.

In our groups we went off to different places and first of all we went to the people in the vans, they showed us inside the van, how to fix a box on the pole, inside the green cabinet and what is underneath manholes and it is a huge pipe.

Then we went inside and Gordon showed us where people worked and which area did which job, there are three main bits with three floors each.

Then we went to this room and it had tools in it, the guy told us that we were making up a telephone and I was excited what we were going to do. I was excited because there was a staple gun and two screwdrivers and I like taking things apart and finding how they are made. It was a little diagram of a real life situation and there was telephones so when we finished we could ring each other and that was really cool.

Fraser and I then had lunch, I had a really nice baked potato and we discussed what I had done in the morning and it was the same time as lunch time at school.

After lunch we went in our groups again and my group only done posters until the end, there was a poster competition but I didn't win and the people who won it had worked in a team and they didn't say anything about working in a group so I think it was cheating.

Then Fraser came to pick me up at quarter to four and we cycled to site hill because Fraser works there as well. He showed me some of the rooms where the information from computers in Edinburgh and he told me about where the information travels from there to an old building and then it goes to a box in the place the computer is and then it goes to the computer and that is how it remembers your name and your information. We also had deformed biscuits from the biscuit factory next door.

The last thing is that we went home to Grandma and Papa's by the dirt track way and I went down stairs that Fraser didn't go down! Because we went the dirty way my face got covered by mud and we got home at the same time as Holly and Pat.

Injury

I have another injury on my heel and can not play rugby or football for a week. During our win at rugby my heel started to hurt and then some one stood on it. Here is a picture of the Planter Fashia where my problem is.

Great Day Out

Today all the family [apart from Grandma and Papa] went to Cramond brig to have lunch. Me, Sky, Holly and Louis all played in the children's area, it was really fun until we got told to get out because there was going to be a wedding. After we finished off our pudding we went to the park and went on the basket swing which is a swing with a basket type thing on it and we spent hours on it, even Sky and Laura had a shot.
