Saturday Sing

Today it was such a busy day. First we started off with putting up the Christmas tree, and I am just looking at the tree right now and I think it looks lovely. When we stood back and looked at it, it was dashing.

Then we went in to town to do some Christmas shopping. I bought presents for Dad, Grandma, Gran, Margaret, Auntie Ann and Mum. In the afternoon I played with Lego and watched TV.

At 4 o'clock I was at church. I had to rehearse for my play tomorrow morning. In the nativity play I am shepherd two. I have many lines. My sheep, Floppy is in the play as well.

After the rehearsal we had a brilliant disco. They played Amarillo, 500 miles, Hey Baby and many other songs. Dad picked me up at 8 o'clock.

THE GREAT WIN

One Friday I got chosen to play for cubs football team. I made it, and I was nervous that we were going to get thrashed. The first match we played and we drew that was kind of a bad game. But we played much better and won the second match it was a whopper 2-0 victory to us. In the last league game we won 3-0 and our goalkeeper was very good. That got us into the semi final. We played really well and won 1-0, it was a very close game. The team that came third was the 7th Leith, my friends are in that team, they won 1-0 in their game. Now it was up to us to play well in the final. We did, we won an amazing 3-0 against a team called the Bumblebees. We got the trophy and we all managed to lift it up. Then I ran round the pitch and celebrated. Then we went home and I became freezing cold. Then it was off to bed at 11 o'clock!!!!

Festival of Football

I played for my Primary school at a Festival of Football. Kyle, Lewis and I all scored goals. Here is a quick video of my two. More highlights will come later.

On Saturday I went to Hillend to go tubing with my friends. We down in a circle and an arrow. The man put wax on the bottom to make us go faster. We kept crashing into the 'bouncy castle wall' at the bottom.

It was great fun.

The man kept spinning us and it was fun and fast. The we went inside for Birthday dinner where we had more cake.

My best presents from my friends were a necklace and a football.

This is the morning of my birthday. I got loads of presents and had cake for breakfast. My best presents this morning were the watch and my Edinburgh rugby top.

I went to Grandma and Papa's and I got a bongo drum, a guitar DVD and Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

At school I got WILF for the day and my class sang Happy Birthday to me.

When I went home I went to cubs and then Gran came over with presents. My best present out of all was a Nintendo DS lite. I am playing the X-men game.

My Birthday

Party 1 - Chinese Meal

This is my 1st birthday party at a Chinese restaurant called the Ping On. All my family came including little Louis. We ate prawn crackers and I had sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice.

I got a metal detector, night vision goggles and a bug farm. They were excellent presents. I also got sweets a birthday cake and a fortune cookie, which told me something about happiness.

We had 3 games today. We won one and lost two versus P5 teams. Grandma made a video of our game v Murrayfield

Bad Injury

I am typing this with a broken wrist. Well it started when I was going to Wonderama. I went to ER surgery, there I got my wrist plastered up. We also went onside a real knee, it was horrible, I put the camera into the muscle. We had to do a safety demonstration were we learnt about Dr ABC and the recovery position.

After that I went to Lego Robosports. There we connected the computer to a Lego robot on a table. the robot had to pick up balls, put balls on to a disc and saw through a blue tube and replace it with a red one. Finally we got the robot to fire a wee missile to hit a disc so a flag would go up.

Then I went to Mission Improbable. In the bubble we had to solve a mystery with 'Jamie Bond' (that's a fake name). We had puzzles on moving, sensing and eating. We solved the crime. It was Ms Grem.





p.s. My wrist is not really broken.

Running, shopping and theatre

Yesterday, I ran round Arthur's seat, I had a big stitch. I was killing myself, it felt like people stabbing me. I was the first one home.

After lunch I went shopping I bought new 90 trainers, two t-shirts and shorts. Then we done a fashion show.

At night my Dad took me to the theatre. The show was great. There was some really good singing and dancing. We came home at 10 o'clock. I fell asleep at about 11. It was a long day.

Kelvingrove Gallery

After the crash we picked up Grandma and Papa and we went to Glasgow. On our way we saw a sculpture of a trumpet, red heads and a wire horse. We visited Kelvingrove museum . We saw stuffed animals including an elephant, a tortoise, a polar bear, a falcon, a cheetah, a giraffe, a swordfish and a moose. In one hall there was a Spitfire hanging from the ceiling, in the other there were heads. They were hanging from the ceiling and all making different faces.

There were discovery zones. The discovery zones are really fun. I did some weaving, used an old fashioned sewing machine, I made a picture using plastic circles, I made a pretend necklace, copied some statues and wrote my name with Egyptian letters.

In another room I looked at the Arctic and the animals that live there. There were also masks that I tried on and funny mirrors that made me look fat or skinny. You also got to make your own face.

Then we went for lunch. I had salmon, chips, peas and Fanta to drink, but no pudding. Then we finished the gallery by looking at all the pictures.

At the end we went into a toyshop. I found a bongo but Dad wouldn't let me buy it.

Outside we practised filming for our film. We have made a movie of our visit which we will try to put on later.

Then we drove home and I fell asleep in the car.

It was the best day out.

Disaster

We were going down Semple street beside fat Sam's. We stopped at the traffic lights. There was a police van in front of us. Then suddenly the police van backed into us without warning!!!!!!! Dad honked the horn but it was too late. DA DA DAAAA, bang they hit our car, but no one was hurt. Dad went out to speak to the police man. Everybody said "UH OH" The police man said "sorry". They smashed the number plate and the bumper fell off. We had to wait till the sergeant came. They had to take dad's and the police man's breath to check if they had had beer. They both passed. After that we finally got to Grandma's and Papa's.

Yesterday.........

I was with Euan yesterday. We went to Peebles and Uncle Alan got his car fixed. We went to the park where we played football and Euan played in the house. After that we had to get new trousers for Euan because he had a leaky nappy. After that we went and bought some ham rolls and Fanta and treats. I got a jam donut and Euan got an Easter egg biscuit with sugar icing on it.

We had our lunch in the car and then went to Edinburgh Zoo. We saw the rhinoceros but not the baby. We saw the pack dogs, a big bird with a yellow beak, the flamingos, seal (which is one of my best animals) one jumped up and gave us all a fright. I saw a bird like a peacock, there was a notice up saying there was a new baby tapir but we didn't see it. We had an ice cream and played in the park where I swung around like a monkey.

I bought a slimy thing at the zoo, it had a plastic spider in it. It was all squidgy.

Then we went back to Euan's house and we played together. We had fish and chips for our tea. Then Mum and Gran came and we made pretend food for them, they said it was nice.

Then I went home and slept straight away as I was really tired after a busy day.

Today Is My Best Day

I am at Grandma and Papa's at the moment. Today I did science, not music as Mrs Matuzak was with the P7s. We did maths instead. Then we did ICT. Then I went home and played football with Grandma and it was good. I did a very good save and scored some goals.

Gifford Game

Gifford didn't turn up so we won!!! So we played our own team and my team won. I scored about five tries. After the game we went to the club house, ate Mars bars and played tig. We were all laughing so much.

Today, Sunday I am going to play a rugby match against Gifford. It is going to be hard, but we will probably get a try!
